The category I centre is part of the national French Tourist Information network.

Commitments.

  • Give you a reception area and information area that are easy to access.
  • Make your trip easier.
  • Provide you with furniture to sit on.
  • Give you free information about what’s on in the area.
  • Provide you with free Wi-Fi access.
  • Display and share opening times in at least two foreign languages.
  • Open at least 240 days a year including Saturdays and Sundays during peak seasons or events.
  • Answer your messages all year.
  • Provide a permanent reception service run by staff that speak at least two foreign languages.
  • Provide tourist maps and regular maps on paper.
  • Bring you a website in four languages.
  • Provide tourist information translations in at least two foreign languages regarding:
    • any listed tourist accommodation including at least the name of the establishment, address, email address, website, phone number and rating;
    • monuments and cultural, natural or leisure sites including prices, opening seasons and times, website, phone number and address.
  • Update its tourist information every year.
  • Display emergency phone numbers outside.
  • Present all the relevant services in its area of expertise for all clients.
  • Enable you to view availability at listed accommodation.
  • Handle your complaints and assess your level of satisfaction.
  • Provide a tourist information service covering new IT and communication tools (social media, smartphone, GPS etc.)
  • Adhere to a quality approach.
  • Provide a travel advisor to assist you.
  • Ensure local tourist information is accurate and up to date.
